The Reynolds Young Writers Workshop at Denison

The Reynolds Young Writers Workshop at Denison is an energizing 8-day program for motivated high school students (rising juniors and seniors) who love to write.  For over 20 years, the Reynolds Workshop has brought together young writers who are passionate about writing and eager to connect to a close-knit community of writing friends.  The workshop is held each June on the beautiful campus of Denison University, a leading liberal arts college, in the village of Granville, Ohio.

ONE TEEN STORY CONTEST - calling teen writers!
Now through May 31st, 2017, the literary magazine One Teen Story is asking writers ages 13-19 to enter their original, unpublished fiction. We are interested in great short stories of any genre—literary, fantasy, sci-fi, love stories, and horror.
The winning story will be published in a forthcoming issue of One Teen Story, which reaches over ten thousand paid subscribers. The contest winner will receive $500 and 25 copies of the magazine featuring their work. The contest winner will also have the opportunity to work with a One Story editor prior to publication. Honorable mentions will be chosen in three age categories: 13-15, 16-17, and 18-19 year-olds, and each will be announced on our website, email announcement, and social media.
One Teen Story is an award-winning, quarterly lit magazine. Each issue features just one short story. We are committed to featuring young voices that are unique and inspiring, which is why we thought of Reynolds Young Writers Workshop. This project is funded by the NEA, and is a great way for your students and alumni to practice submitting work and to possibly reach a wide audience of readers.
